HB/SH-001 – Hagen – 912m – 1 Point

Another fine Sunday with spring weather 🙂 On arrival at Hagenturm I had to climb the 224 steps to the top of the tower. Weather was hazy again and I could hardly see any of the nearby montains. The top of the tower also houses a secondary radar for air traffic. I assume the S9+ QRM I witnessed on 12m comes from the motor turning the radar. After the succfull activation of Hagen (HB/SH-001) I moved over the border to bag 13 points (including 3 points for winter bonus while sitting in the sun at +10C) on Hoher Randen (DM/BW-235). Highlights were the QSO with VK2DAG and N7UN peaking S9; both on 12m.
