HB0/LI-002 – Naafkopf – 2570m – 10 Points

On 22 July 2013 I did an expedition to HB0 with the goal to activate Augstenberg (HB0/LI-004), then Gorfion (OE/VB-241) and finally Naafkopf (HB0/LI-002 – HB/GR-338 – OE/VB-123).

While I was working down the pile-up I constantly checked the clouds building up on the mountains in OE and HB9. I also checked the rain radar on my iPhone. At 11:18z I went QRT although many stations were still calling and I made my way down to Pfälzer Hütte and further on to Malbun. Around 1pm a thunderstorm went down in Prättigau (South of Naafkopf in HB9). I could have stayed longer but wet granite can be very slippery.
