HB/OW-024 – Arnihaaggen – 2207m – 8 Points

For the HB9SOTA award I planned a double activation for HB/OW on the same day. HB/OW-010 can be accessed from the North as well from the South side. I decided for the shorter journey to Sörenberg and took the cable car to Brienzer Rothorn. If you fancy the tourist version use the steam train from Brienz (very nice!). Following the quick activation on HB/OW-010, most of the chaser were still asleep, I headed for HB/OW-024. This requires 322m descend followed by 181m ascend and don’t forget you have to walk the same path back. Lucky I did most photographs early morning as the clouds rose and covered both peaks. Althoug temperature were around 10C I could operate with shorts on but felt cold fingers after a while. Yes, this is July in HB9 at 2200m asl.
