HB/NW is about an 1h drive from my home QTH and I arrived at Emmetten 1/4h before the frist cable car left at 7 am. A return ticket is 20 CHF. I was the only passenger up to Niederbauen and started my hike towards Oberbauenstock which was activated only once so far. The hike is graded T4. Temperature: 15C @ Niederbauen. Foggy but cleared up during the day; almost no wind.

- The upper section consists of many zig zag turns.

- Some parts offer wet underground with no gravel to support. Chose a dry day! It can be very slippery and to fall is not an option. Slope of the terrain between Brächen and Oberbauenstock is > 45 degrees.

- Finally I arrived at Schwiren und it takes another 15′ to Oberbauenstock. This picture was taken on the way down.

- Finally on the top and not a lot of space to errect an antenna. On the right hand side of the picture you can imagine Lake Lucerne.
